John G. Wager was born in Brooklyn, New York July 8, 1890, son of John and Anna Wager. No record of his death has been found. He was wounded August 17, 1918 in France. His drafrt registration cards for both WW1 and WW2 are found on ancestry.com. His line of work in 1917 is shown as theatrical, and in 1941 as unemployed.
His group includes his officially engraved un-numbered slot brooch Purple Heart and its presentation box that was issued January 13, 1944, and a copy of his award card.
