Peter Clarence Dykhuis was born in Fulton, Illinois on June 2, 1916. He was one of four children of George and Jinnie Dykhuis. He enlisted in the Army in Chicago on July 21, 1942. He was married at the time of his enlistment. He died in New Ulm, Minnisota on December 6, 1983.
