Pvt. Charles E. Callahan was part of the Pennsylvania National Guard 6th Regiment. No biographical data has been found that can be relied on. He is listed and pictured in the 5 volume set of the 28th Division unit history.
The group includes Callahan's officially engraved Bailey, Banks and Biddle Purple Heart edge numbered 22763, five bar WW1 Victory medal, original dogtags and cord, Pennsylvania National Guard medal, collar disks including "US 111", and a small diary.
