Warren Wilfred Brown was born March 1, 1912 and died in the sinking of the USS St. Lo October 25, 1944. The American Battle Monuments site lists him as MIA; however, he is also memorialized at San Antonio's Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery Section 26, Site 859.

Fic Brown's group consists of his officially engraved posthumous Type 2 solid brooch Purple Heart and its short titled presentation box.

F1c Warren Brown was one of the 126 killed in action casualties as a result of the sinking of the St. Lo CVE 63. The ship was part of Taffy 3 that engaged a superior Japanese fleet in the Battle of Samar. She was sunk when hit by a Kamakazi that crashed through the flight deck.
