Brigadier General John J. Bradley was born April 20, 1869 in Illinois. He was appointed to Academy at West Point and graduated with the class of 1891 as graduate # 3437. He was appointed 2nd Lieutenant June 12, 1891, 1st Lieutenant April 26, 1898, Captain December 17, 1900, Major May 30, 1912, Lt. Colonel May 15, 1917, Colonel August 5, 1917, Brigadier General National Army June 26, 1918 until October 31, 1919. He retired as full Colonel December 28, 1927.

Gen. Bradley's awards include Philippine Insurrection Medal with Silver Star for gallantry and Purple Heart for the same action, WW1 Distinguished Service Medal.

Gen. Bradley's group includes his light weight garberdine tunic with Sam Browne belt and matching pants, plus a matching overseas cap with general officer piping and general's star. Also included are photos from archives and other internet reseach.
