Clateon Odean Hall was born October 13, 1922 in Lockesburg, Arkansas

Pvt. Hall entered the service in April, 1944, and trained at Camp Robinson as an infantryman. He arrived overseas on October 10 and went into action as a replacement. He was wounded in action prior to his death, and was killed in action on November 30, 1944 in Germany during the Huertgen Forest battle. His fatal wound was a shell fragment to the head.

Pvt. Hall was first buried in Henri Chappelle Cemetery in Belgium. His body was returned stateside and he was buried in the Lockesburg Cemetery in Lockesburg, Arkansas on November 22, 1948. He is also memorialized on a WW2 memorial in DeQueen, Arkansas.

Pvt. Hall's group includes his posthumous officially engraved slot brooch Purple Heart, edge numbered 379411, plus internet research. His IDPF has been received, and new information added here. 

Note that the spelling of his first name on the grave marker does not agree with the name of Clateon that is on his Purple Heart. The grave marker in this case is wrong.
