This group needs further research! The only Edward Worthan that can be located was born November 10, 1927 and died April 27, 2002. The gravesite information was found on Ancestry and Findagrave. The gravestone indicates that Worthan received the Silver Star, yet that is not on his medal bars. The grave marker also does not list Vietnam. There is also an inconsistancy between the "Jr" and the "III", for which there is no explanation at this time.

The group includes 3 bars of mounted mini medals showing service from WW2 through Korea and Vietnam. Also included are Worthan's name tags from the Nottoway, Virginia VFW Post 5313, a modern NY Conspicuous Service Cross, 3 ribbons, VFW pin, and a 2nd Lieutenant bar. All are mounted on a once framed board.
